Ingredients:

4 tablespoons Chili Powder

2 tablespoons Ground Cumin

2 tablespoons Tomato Powder (optional)*

4 teaspoons Ground Black Pepper

3 teaspoon Paprika

2 teaspoons Sea Salt (more or less to taste)

2 teaspoons Garlic Powder

2 teaspoons Onion Powder

2 teaspoons Cornstarch (optional)*

1 teaspoons Oregano

Directions:

Place all ingredients in a jar and mix well. I use a pint jar with an old Parmesan cheese shaker lid.

Add 2 tablespoons of seasoning and 1/2 cup of water* to 1-1.5 lbs of meat.

*Notes:

I make my own tomato powder from the seeds and skins of the tomatoes I can during the summer. This is a totally optional ingredient and can be omitted without compromising taste.

I like adding cornstarch because it helps the seasoning stick to the meat better and thickens the liquid.

I use this taco seasoning for tacos, nachos, and quesadillas. If I'm adding it to something that already has some liquid, I skip that 1/2 cup of water.
